The Brunch.London team take time out to enjoy breakfast in The Parlour at sketch, Mayfair…
sketch offers food and drink for every hour of the day and
evening, from breakfasts and brunch in the cosy Parlour, to a
Michelin starred restaurant, via Afternoon Tea in The Gallery. Not
to mention the space-age pod toilets, which are an attraction in
themselves. All wrapped up in an 18th Century townhouse.
On a chilly autumnal morning The Parlour at sketch is a welcoming, homely sight, with it's eclectic mix of furniture and contemporary artworks. We need breakfast to set us up for a day of meetings and Sketch is the perfect venue, situated just off Regents Street, on the edge of Mayfair.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff efficient and friendly. The offerings on the menu sound familiar, but look at the small print and you see that each dish has a sketch twist to it - 'Poached Eggs' is served with crab and celeriac remoulade, the humble sounding 'Scramble Eggs' is lifted to another level with chorizo and roasted pepper fondue.
We plump for a 'Flat Omelette' with Potobello mushrooms and a tangy Gorgonzola Chantilly spread across the edge of the plate.
The 'Homemade Pancake' comes with a Grenadine cream and grapefruit marmalade.
Both are delicious and we can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu when we have a little more time.
The Parlour is always a popular choice, especially at weekends, so be sure to book in advance to secure a table.
