The Brunch.London team recently went along to Browns Bar & Brasserie to sample their new Spring/Summer Breakfast & Brunch menu, which will be available from 21st April.

The new Spring/Summer menu at Browns consists of classic brunch favourites such as Eggs Benedict and traditional breakfasts, alongside some special new choices like the delicious Lobster Benedict. Whether you want a hearty meal to start the day, or a healthy brunch at a great price, this new menu has something for everyone.

The team each had a different item from the menu, along with some of the smoothies on offer as part of a wide ranging Brunch menu. 

We tried the 'Traditional Breakfast' (£7.50) which had all the classic elements you would expect from a full English breakfast, yet executed with somewhat more style than your average greasy spoon!

Cherry Orchard sausages, smoked bacon and two free range eggs (you can ask for scrambled, poached or fried!), alongside the the usual accompaniments - great value at this price. A vegetarian option is also available, served with buttered spinach and flat mushrooms (£7.00).

Next up was the rather special Lobster Benedict, which substitutes the ham on regular Eggs Benedict for delicious lobster tails.

The Lobster is then topped with two free range poached eggs and a generous pouring of wonderrful Hollandaise sauce, creating a great twist on a classic Brunch dish. As you can see below the presentation of this dish is also very nice and comes in at only £16.00.

The particularly tasty Hollandaise sauce from the Lobster Benedict is also featured in the Bubble & Squeak (£7.00) which is also topped with poached free range eggs & slices of crispy prosciutto ham, which complement the dish perfectly. We even ordered extra toast to make the most of all the sauce that came with this particular dish!

The final dish we sampled from the new menu was the Scrambled Eggs served on toasted Sourdough bread. This classic was cooked to perfection, and it can be ordered with smoked salmon for something a little different (£4.00 or £7.00 with Smoked Salmon).

We accompanied our brunch with both of the delicious smoothies, which were made fresh and also sampled a Pain Au Raisin which capped off what was an all-round delightful brunch.

Now we just need to go back and sample the rest of the menu! If it's the weekend we might even treat ourselves to a Grand Mimosa Champagne Cocktail for just £9.50.
