Situated in the heart of St James's, Sake No Hana is a sleek, modern restaurant, designed by Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma, and provides an exclusive spot to enjoy a unique Japanese style Saturday Brunch.
Umai Saturdays is traditional in Japan to enjoy a number of different dishes during a meal, including delicately textured and subtly flavoured soups and sashimi, substantial dishes of meats, fish or crunchy battered tempura, and rice in the form of steamed rice bowls and sushi dishes. Umai Saturdays recreates this authentic Japanese meal with a dedicated menu priced at £37 per person, accompanied by a miniature bottle of Mio sparkling sake and Akashi Tai, Honjozo.
Umai is often translated from Japanese to mean delicious, and the Umai Saturdays menu reflects this. The five-course menu created by Head Chef Hideki Hiwatashi features Shiro Misoshiru, white miso soup with wild mushrooms, and Horenso Gomaae, sesame spinach with cassava chips. A selection of sushi dishes will be offered, including Spicy Tuna Maki, Salmon Avocado Maki and Spicy Chirashi Maki. Sukiyaki, a dish of sliced rib eye beef served with vegetables, tofu and mushrooms, is served in a hot plate at the table topped with candy floss that dissolves when the chef pours a hot sauce over it."
