The swoon-worthy al fresco dining at Dalloway Terrace serves weekend brunch and Sunday lunch, as pretty as its surroundings.

The beautiful eponymous terrace is a whimsical hideaway imbued with seasonal botany. Part of the joy of visiting is watching it transform from autumnal colours weaving around the canopy to just-blooming multi-coloured flowers in springtime. Fairy lights and marble-topped tables add to the elegance and while outside is famous for its stunning surroundings, inside is a treasure trove too.

You’ll find Dalloway Terrace in Bloomsbury, just a short walk away from Covent Garden and Oxford Street.

This hidden garden cafe is magical. Sdenka was so helpful and kind. She guided us through the menu options and made the perfect recommendations. Please consider reserving in advance because this place gets extremely busy for brunch. Everything was delicious, including our tea…. and we’re normally coffee drinkers.

Two of us had lunch before theatre show recently. We arrived at 12 noon and the place was empty. We were shown to a table for two which at first appeared fine. However, it soon became clear that we were right on the pathway between the hotel and restaurant. Every two minutes we had guests or staff walking past us either getting to their table or having food delivered. The space was tight. It is a bad place for a table full stop. However, the food was superb.

We booked afternoon tea before going to see The Devil Wears Prada show, and it was an absolute delight. The service at the Dalloway Terrace was exceptional from start to finish. The setting is beautifully decorated, creating a stunning and welcoming atmosphere. The selection of teas, sandwiches, and desserts was excellent—beautifully presented and delicious. They even catered thoughtfully for vegan guests and allergies, which made the experience feel even more special. The staff went above and beyond our expectations, making the service truly outstanding. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back very soon.
