    Whilst we were not greeted kindly at the door, after we were seated, our experience got way better! Our server was kind and attentive and explained how the brunch order worked. We got our starters from the open buffet and then placed our mains order which were all delicious. They were out of the truffle fries and forgot to bring the only other side that was available which was the broccoli but as there were so many starter options and desserts to try, we did not bother asking them to bring it! The dessert choices were really nice and there was something there for everyone. It is a pricey brunch, but worth it in my opinion and a great day out.

    We arrived about 15 min early, were welcomed warmly by front of house, led to seats at the bar and ordered a couple of cocktails while we waited. We were taken downstairs about 8 min late, but service has been lovely. Our wobbly table was fixed while we were grabbing starters. Antipasti selection is decent, with something available for everyone. The pizzas are delicious and fresh, cheese is tasty. I wished for more salads but overall very good variety. We ordered some water for the table and were told we’d have 20-40 min before we order main, which ended up being about 60min, but there’s plenty more to nibble on while one waits so it’s not much of a bother. Maine are large portions, did not need an order sides to be honest, I ended up asking the waiters to pack my mains up, which is fortunately an option! Desserts were okay. I’d recommend focusing on th starters. Coffee was banging.

    I took my daughter for her Birthday lunch and it was a first visit to Lavo. Although I have difficult dietary restrictions (vegan and gluten free) the staff did everything to accommodate me well. That nice girl Nicoletta was super knowledgeable and friendly and totally understood what I eat. The chef created very nice pasta and freshest salad for me. My daughter was also happy with her choice of food. At the end they provided complementary deserts for both of us, for my daughter with little candle for her birthday 🎉 Service was also good. We will definitely come back and totally recommend this place.
