4.03 weeks agoHad a lovely evening at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Mayfair. The service was attentive and professional throughout — staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. We ordered the signature Beef Wellington with wine pairing. The food itself was excellent — perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. However, the wine pairing experience was a bit underwhelming. The wines were served late and didn’t arrive in time with the courses, which took away from the overall experience slightly. That said, the atmosphere was great, and the quality of the meal was definitely a highlight. Would still recommend, especially for a special occasion — just hoping they fine-tune the wine service to match the standard of the food.

5.0a week agoThe best and most iconic Beef Wellington experience in London! I give Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Mayfair two hands up. We ordered the Beef Wellington along with side dishes like creamy spinach and a nice glass of wine. The Wellington was made with a rich mushroom duxelles and foie gras, wrapped in golden, flaky puff pastry. The beef itself was tender yet slightly crusty on the outside — such a perfect combination of textures and flavors. Since it’s a bar and we visited at lunchtime, I didn’t expect such a high-level experience, but I ended up with complete satisfaction. It was truly beyond my expectations, and I had a wonderful time here.

3.0a month agoVideo of the set menu included. I booked a reservation at this restaurant to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, our experience started off on a slightly sour note - the first lady who greeted us and showed us to our table was quite stern, which didn’t create the most welcoming first impression. That said, things improved significantly from there. We chose the 3-course set menu, which was lovely and very filling. If I were to return, I’d probably opt for the 2-course option, as that would have been more than enough. Our servers were warm, friendly, and chatty, they really elevated the experience for us. They even sang happy birthday for my friend, took her photos, and brought out a personalised complimentary plate with a brownie, which was such a sweet touch. One slightly confusing and awkward moment came when I took a photo of the restaurant setting simply for an Instagram story. I was strongly signalled not to take the picture, by a man at the back of the venue, though I’m still unsure why. I don’t know who was in the restaurant or if there was someone of particular importance present, but I felt a bit uncomfortable, as if I had done something wrong without knowing what it was. That moment aside, the rest of the evening went smoothly.
