Since 2010, Hemingways has stood proudly as the only locally owned and independent cocktail establishment within the ever desirable Wimbledon Village.

The bar lies in the heart of the village, and plays host to a mix of local faces and visitors from afar. Our staff come from a multitude of backgrounds, each bringing something unique and memorable to your experience.

Having been awarded ‘Best Cocktail Bar in South-West London’, you can be rest assured in the knowledge that, whether you’re after an ultimate classic like an Old Fashioned, a modern pick-me-up such as an Espresso Martini, or one of our own in-house creations, including the ever popular Pomme d’Hemingways, our highly trained bartenders will ensure that your drink truly hits the spot.

Hemingways, however, is not a one trick pony; we hold communal wine tasting events to tailor a bespoke menu for our clientele and these fine wines have been used to build a modest yet considered range that pairs excellently with our selection of homemade pizzas and antipasti.

The strength of Hemingways’ reputation has allowed us the great privilege of bringing the versatility of our experience to your own homes with the launch of ‘Hemingways at Home’ where we provide a range of different services to create a bespoke event just for you.

A disappointment for Wimbledon Village. Premium prices without a premium experience (drinks, service or atmosphere). Zero standards of dress for the manager who was an unshaven mess and clearly slept in what he turned up to work in. Slap dash, indifferent service and just overall pretty poor value. The food ‘offering’ isn’t all that and it’s the sort of place which attracts a certain type; • Middle aged to older men either on the prowl or with their younger side girls. • People who think they’ve ‘made it’ because they’re at the only cocktail bar in the Village and think they’re being a bit sophisticated. The reality is it’s not at all special or even that nice and I’m guessing the owners are absent and don’t really care. You’re better off at The Dog & Fox or Cannizaro House and if you really want a cocktail go into town and you’ll pay the same but actually get the premium experience to go with it rather than this tired Wimbledon Village embarrassment.

A lovely afternoon bottomless brunch had here to celebrate my mum's birthday. The staffing team were lovely and welcoming and the cocktails were visually stunning and tasty. Thank you Raul for the special flaming rum punch! A wonderful afternoon spent in Wimbledon. Will be back.

They do 4-7pm happy hour with nice food to go along with the cocktails. Liked the decor with cosy sofas and cushions as well as tables outside to enjoy the sun. The hairy guy makes really nice cocktails as he says, and very polite. Wish the glasses were a little bigger.
